Big Apple Cake



Beat together:
1 stick butter
½ cup sugar
¼ cup brown sugar

Add:
1 ¼ cup flour
½ tsp. baking powder
½ tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
½ tsp. salt

Add:
1 egg
½ cup buttermilk

Stir in:
1 lb. granny smith apples, peeled, cored and
            cut into ½” chunks

Topping: 
1/3 cup sugar
3 Tbls flour
¾ t. cinnamon
3 Tbls cold butter cut into small pieces
1/3 cup pecans coarsely chopped

Put in buttered 9 x 9 pan.  

Topping:  use pastry blender, sprinkle on top
Bake 40 minutes, 350 degrees
